Detect Grape Powdery Mildew spores in your vineyard BEFORE an infection occurs. CVC's Grape Powdery Mildew Network provides growers with county-wide detection maps. CVC delivers the reliable information needed to improve your spray program's efficiency and effectiveness. Direct your scouting and spraying teams where they are needed first.
Samples are collected weekly or twice a week by CVC's trained staff. Your quantified spore count report alerts you when powdery mildew spores are present!
CVC's new "Spore Trap 800" samples 500% more air volume than competing spore traps. The Spore Trap 800 is field proven, has improved spore detection with a smaller carbon footprint!
GIS is a platform to better manage, evaluate and present spatial data in a useful visual format.
Base maps to overlay aerial imagery, soil mapping, and vineyard observations.
Maps for Climate, Frost Hazard, or Trellis Modification Studies.
Maps to guide field crews or subcontractors.
A geographic information system (GIS) integrates hardware, software, and data for capturing, managing, analyzing, and displaying all forms of geographically referenced information and has become an essential element of effective vineyard management.
CVC custom designs plant nutrition programs to direct fertilizer inputs where they are most effective. CVC has refined the interpretation of plant analysis with over 30 years of viticulture experience. CVC's interpretation of laboratory results and fertilizer recommendations consider variety, rootstock, and known soil conditions.
Plant tissue samples are collected at different times of the season (pre-bloom, bloom, berry softening, harvest) depending upon test objectives. CVC's easy-to-read color-coded report provides the nutritional status of each field-tested and variety-specific fertilizer recommendations. The analytical reports are sent both via email and as a hardcopy in the mail.
RanchMaster, designed and manufactured by Ranch Systems in Northern California, is a modular suite of six field monitoring and control solutions residing on a versatile hardware and software “platform”.
A grower has the flexibility to start with a single solution like Weather & Climate and add functionality over time. For example, Soil Moisture Tracking can be added later, then combined with Valve Control to completely automate irrigation at some point in the future. Each individual solution is integrated into an easy-to-use, but sophisticated software application and can be “turned on” at any point.
Aerial imagery plays a critical role and makes major contributions to effective vineyard management.
CVC has partners with aerial imagery services to provide our clientele with a wide choice of imagery products and high revisit collection frequencies. High-quality imagery (NDVI, color infrared, color oblique, and thermal) is available on a 40-week annual program, a 15 week revisit package or a one visit per season image. Please contact CVC directly to choose the correct plan and to secure a price quote.
